New York, New York (November 19, 2018) – E.E. Cruz & Company (Cruz), an infrastructure contractor based in New York City, recently secured two new contracts for projects in New York—one in Manhattan and one in Mt. Vernon. The total value of the projects tops $81M and further demonstrates the company’s strength across this very competitive market.
The first project, valued at $59M, awarded by the New York City Transit – Metropolitan Transit Authority, involves the construction of a New Emergency Vent Plant on Forsyth Street between Delancy Street and Rivington Street for the IND/BMT Division on the 6th Ave Line in the Borough of Manhattan.
Metro-North Commuter Railroad selected Cruz to complete the replacement and substructure rehabilitation of the 6th Avenue and 10th Avenue Bridge over Metro-North Railroad in the City of Mt. Vernon. This project is valued at nearly $22M.
“We appreciate the confidence in our team’s ability to improve New York’s infrastructure, and to do it safely,” said Joseph Sheehan, E.E. Cruz managing director. “We look forward to continuing our contributions in the state and region.”
